Groups

Understanding Self and Others:
This insight oriented group will provide you with a safe environment for exploring yourself and interpersonal style in areas such as trust, intimacy, anger, assertiveness, taking risks, and dealing with authority.

Social Confidence Group: This is a workshop designed for adolescents/teens struggling with social anxiety.  The group will provide an opportunity for the students to develop their skills and confidence in social settings.

Caregivers Support Group: This is a support group that allows caregivers to provide insight, relief, and support to each other in a positive setting. Whether you are caring for an elderly family member, a loved one who is ill, stress can take a toll on our well-being.

Mindfulness Training in all modules of DBT: Clients learn how to control their emotions, be in the moment and make wise decisions that affect their interpersonal relationships and ability to cope in a more positive way. It is contingent on class size. We need at least 5 people to start. It is a 3 month commitment of time. Please contact me for details.

DBT Training for teens: Clients learn how to control their emotions, be in the moment and make wise decisions that affect their interpersonal relationships and ability to cope in a more positive way. Many teens resort to self-harming behaviors because they cannot cope with daily life. DBT arms them with the tools and understanding they need to express emotions. Groups begin when class size equals at least 5 participants. It is an 8 week commitment. Groups are ongoing. Please contact us for details.

Groups using Psychodrama: Psychodrama is the unrehearsed enactment of moments that matter in life. It is a technique created by Jacob Marino about 75 years ago. Psychodrama has the ability to help people recover from trauma and other difficulties which therapy is meant to address. The connection between group-mates greatly helps the healing process.
